An Institution with Minority Status run by the Catholic  Diocese of Alleppey

As part of the World Environment Day 2016, St. Michael’s College NSS Unit kicked off “My Tree Challenge” aimed at making the world greener by planting more trees. The initiative was officially set of by Principal Dr. V. Mathew, the Chief Mentor and the Leader of the “My Tree Challenge”. The initiative began with a planting of sapling and challenging students and staff of the college to do the same. The new initiative has become a major attraction among volunteers and staff with the progress of the event being recorded on the official Facebook page of NSS. The newly appointed Asst. Manger of the College, Fr. Celestine Puthenpuraikal appealed to the students to support the cause of ‘My Tree Challenge’ and emphasized that their objective must be to give back to Mother Nature its pristine beauty.
