"Blood Connects US All"

NSS Unit of St. Michael’s College conducted a voluntary blood donation camp on the campus on 14th June, 2016. The event was organised as part of the “World Blood Donor’s Day” 2016. This year, the theme of World Blood Donor Day is “Blood connects us all”, highlighting the common bond that all people share in their blood. The slogan, “Share life, give blood”, draws attention to the role that voluntary donation systems play in encouraging people to care for one another and promoting community cohesion. The event was held under the leadership of programme officers Prof. Pratheesh. P and Prof. Joseph Libin and student volunteers like Master Arunkumar H., Master Nithin Thomas, Master Sudev. S, Kumari. Anna Cicily Tony, Master Leo Mathew Vincent. Refreshments were provided to the students who were part of the camp. Together with the camp, a campaign for blood donation was also held. The campaign conveyed stories of people who were saved by blood donation.
